What Is InstaLift?
InstaLift is an FDA-approved non-surgical treatment that uses Micro-Suspension Technology™ to enhance skin tone and stimulate collagen production. This technique is less invasive than a surgical procedure and more effective per treatment than most injectable fillers. It is used for patients who want an immediate lift, and who also want their cheeks to increase in volume over time. The InstaLift allows for more long-term benefits than most injectables and has fewer potential complications than a surgical facelift.
How Does InstaLift Work?
InstaLift uses patented micro-cones to lift the skin and stimulate collagen production. These cones are inserted into the cheeks by a trained practitioner to ensure effectiveness. The micro-cones are made of a specially formulated plastic biomaterial, which safely degrades over time while leaving the increased volume and collagen intact.
The micro-cones are injected into the targeted area of the face. Local anesthesia is used to reduce the pain of injections. After the injections, some degree of swelling or pain may occur but should fade within five to seven days.
How Long Is My InstaLift Recovery?
InstaLift does not have the recovery time associated with surgical procedures, but limited after-effects should still be addressed after treatment.
- Immediately after an InstaLift, ice may be applied to reduce swelling around the insertion sites.
- Patients should avoid using makeup around the treatment areas for at least 24 hours.
- Over-the-counter pain medication may be taken to reduce pain or swelling as needed during the first week.
- It is advised that patients sleep on their backs, with their heads elevated, during the first week.
- For the first two weeks, patients are advised to avoid direct sunlight, high impact sports, and vigorous face or neck movements.
- Activities that put pressure on the face, such as dental surgery, saunas, facials, etc., should be avoided for three to four weeks.

Initial results should be visible within one or two weeks, with some effects being immediate. Final results from an InstaLift treatment should fully develop within six months and may last for up to two years (though this may vary depending on a patient’s lifestyle).
